Right Now

Presence.

So much of what stops me in Life, and in my experience as Coach, stops us human beings is in the family of mental states of worry, regret, guilt and shame. Either we are projecting forward into the future how things may go wrong, or we are locked into an interpretation of the past that has us sustaining suffering.

Sucks, right?

Now consider what it means to be right here, right now. In the moment. With everything that is going on right now. Not the past or future. Now.

There is no ground for worry, no ground for regret. All that remains is ‘being’.

Sounds easy, right?

It takes practice. We are wired to predict the future and use the past to have us navigate safely. Fear keeps us on the tracks of ways of looking at the world that kept us alive this far. We get to the edge, we get scared, we back off. The trouble is that these reactions are in the way.

Of what?

Well, of right now for starters.

And the possibility of the future.

Fuelled by these past-based interpretations, we are stuck in a quest to create perfect knowledge of what comes next; security. We search for certainty, which, paradoxically turns the future into the past if we succeed. If there is nothing new, there is no future. It is like putting a waterfall in a bucket or the wind in a box. Not possible. Sucking the life out of life. Life IS change, is uncertainty, is flow, is movement. Look at the moment and you cannot miss it. Everything is changing the whole time.

The solution? Well, there is no problem. All there is are the ways of viewing the world that anchor the future to the past and have us try to lock it down. Neither the future nor pas exist anyway. There is only right now.

Ready to let go and live into a future that you dream rather than predict? Create what you want rather than what you ‘can have’?

Let’s get present, and have you present to the possibility of the Life you were born to live.

It is time. It always has been. Right now.
