Standing on the jagged teeth of change
It is uncomfortable
It is everything I signed up for
I do not shrink
I fucking want this
Exhilaration
Beyond the fear
The sheer naked terror
Of running hard toward a wall
That somewhere deep within I believe exists
And refusing to accept it
Refusing to limit my destiny
Refusing to let the light be dimmed
I dive headlong into this image
This mirage
And I dare it to find the fangs to bite me
The claws to rip me
I smile at these winds that swirl
The sand and grit into my face
They are as insubstantial as the stuff of nightmares
They pretend a reality
I will not grant them
And I choose my life
Above, beyond and through such dull stuff
I am light
Before which the darkness shrinks
My choice. My life.
My revolution.
Long live the King.
